Pearl Arredondo: My story, from gangland daughter to star teacher


Last week I posted a video from TED's latest educational gathering.  Here is another one, that is a touching story about a young woman who grew up in Los Angeles' gangland, and became a teacher to help students who are in similar situations she had been in.  She has also started a new school in the city that is molded to fit students who have more going on in their lives than homework, like being stabbed, and seeing their friends murdered.  Truly an inspiration.
